Archaeology at Ecus

Read about the world of an archaeological supervisor, a project officer, or archaeological archivist. We have had one of our experts answer common questions you may have around archaeology, what it is, why it’s carried out and who pays for it.

Here one of our Archaeological Project Officers, Charlotte Britton, explains how archaeological finds can show how children lived throughout history.

Our Archaeology Supervisor, Harry Mixer, describes what a day as an archaeologist working for Ecus looks like, and the highlights of his day-to-day work.
